she's kind of a big deal in logan. pretty much the education
department only exists now because of her. one day i want
to meet this woman. anyway. yesterday when we were
locked out of class i read a story about emma eccles
that i thought was simply charming. something else
that's kind of a big deal in logan is the summer opera
concert series. emma eccles used to attend said series
with another lady friend, and sometimes her husband too.
this was a glorious event always, one for nice dresses
and primped hair. one day emma and her friend decided
they were too old to wear heels to the opera because it
made them too tired. did this stop them from going to
the opera? no. emma, for the rest of her life, attended
the opera in fancy dresses and dyed tennis shoes that
matched each dress. someday i will be like this.
