naked

i have the best telephone in the world.
i can drop it 5 times a day
and it stays invincible
this phone of 2 years broke yesterday.
just up and stopped working.
it's been a day and a half now.

at first i resented it, felt naked without it.
even cried a little. but today, i like it.
i haven't had this much peace & quiet in a long time.

i feel somewhat ashamed to belong to a generation
so ridiculously obsessed & addicted to technology.

what is our world coming to?
i don't want the answer to that question.
not yet anyway.
