1.14.2010

best. semester. ever.

managing organizations and people: a business class, absolutely love it.  it has a LEAP feel, the professor is one of the best i've ever had, and i'm already learning a lot.  and hey, teaching a class is just like managing a business, right?  i'm having fun discovering how...
art in the elementary school: i've never had a true art class, but i'm loving this one so far!!  we have a project every week.  it's distance ed, so kind of weird watching half the class on the TV all over utah, hah, and the delay in sound.  best.
PE in the elementary school: i love how hands-on everything elementary education related is!  we get to play the games, and go out and practice teaching them.  don't even worry, our first assignment is blowing our whistle correctly.  whoot.
american festival chorus: took this last semester too... with all the adorable old community members of logan.  already made some good friends from last semester, it's fun to be with them again.  and of course singing with dr. craig jessop is the most amazing experience ever!!  this semester, we have a music is for lovers concert for valentines and then performing haydn's the creation in march.
ballroom dance: today was the first day and i love it so much already!!  reminds me of dancing on the kitchen floor with my daddy, but this time i'll actually know what i'm doing.  one guy was making fun of me today because i subconsciously try to lead... hah, oops.  today we did the foxtrot.  loved it.  and, it's with cassie!  so excited to have a class with her :)
tai chi chuan: that's right, ladies and gentlemen.  i'm taking tai chi.  not sure what to expect, today was my first day in that as well.  the professor is so good!  though it's a lot harder than i thought it would be, i'm really excited!
doctrines of the gospel part 2: having taken part 1 first semester, kellen and i thought it only appropriate to take part 2 this one.  brother jacobs is the best teacher i've ever had at usu.  i learn so much from his class, and also laugh a lot too!

i thought last semester would be my favorite schedule so far, but honestly i'm already enjoying this one a ton too, it might be my favorite, and if not, definitely a close second!  it's so easy... no pressure... lots of fun classes... and nothing that i don't want to take!  plus, there are actually boys in the classes, unlike all the eled ones, ha ha ha.  to make things even BETTER (if you didn't think it was possible, it is.)  i FINALLY have a job and am loving it already!  though i feel a little dumb sometimes because i don't know everything and often tell people the wrong answer to their questions, i'm learning so much and having a great time.  the people i work with are amazing, and though people aren't always happy to come into a testing center, we try and make them smile.  and, who wouldn't want a job where making people smile was a job description?  besides that, IWA is almost over!  don't get me wrong, i've loved it, but i'm ready to be done.  i'm sure i'll miss it once it's over.  it's been good to me.  but, definitely ready to be done.  march 31st.  holding on.  and to make matters even better... this is the semester i've been looking forward to since feb 2008.  though at the time it was an eternity away, everyday i wake up sooo excited that feb 24th is approaching, sooner than i probably realize. heee
