today i got new memory for my computer.

my beautiful mac is running just like a brand

spankin' new computer! i don't think i

realized how full it was getting... hah.

it's been marvelous celebrating a

birthday all weekend long! i've

never celebrated for so spread out

of a time, but i think i will make it

a regular yearly practice. everyone

should celebrate for days at a time.

happy graduation to my lovely sister laci marie today!

the ceremony was LoooooonG.

but we cheered loud.

a little weird being home, and def

always takes some adjusting to... but

i think it's going to be a pretty swell summer

(even if hannah's face says otherwise...)

umm. it's my birthday tomorrow.
and in case you didn't know, i
really, really, REALLY like birth-
days. a lot. like, probably one of
the top ten days of the year. this
one will be a bit different - it's my
first birthday spent away from home,
but my mom is the best and already
doing a splendid job at making me
feel like i'm at home anyway. she
sent me cards from the whole fam,
a sign to hang in my room, confetti,
cut out hearts, caramel apple, happy
birthday napkins and happy birthday
mints (my favorite kind from ck
cummings!) and a light up birthday
pen and more. isn't she the best!
should be a good day though -
german pancakes, no final, only
1 hour of work, date with israel :)
then out to dinner with my lady
friends! never been to texas road-
house, so i'm stoked! and then of
course a little cupcake action and
some hannah montana movie!
yes, i'm turning 21 and yes, i enjoy
the hannah montana movie. call me
juvenile but i don't care, i will never
grow up. not even when i'm 21.
so, happy birthday to me! wa ha ha.

kids will be kids

this morning i taught my last 2 PE lessons (hoooray!) fourth graders can be SO competitive, wow. i had no idea. definitely lots of funny things happened today (they always do when you're working with kids...!) but 2 worth noting:

one boy walked in and when he found out we were playing soccer he proceeded to have a 5 min. discussion with this girl about why we don't call soccer football. he was convinced that america was trying to revolutionalize the whole world because we were trying to change all the sports that don't even belong to us, and for sports that do belong to us, we stole names of other sports to name them. he kept saying "we can't even think of our own names, sheesh! what kind of a country do i live in?!" silly silly.

mrs. smith brought in her baby puppies today! they are absolutely adorable and it got the kids so excited. my favorite part was watching these fourth grade boys that always try and put on such a tough face and "i'm too cool for school" attitude completely melt around these dogs. just goes to show that kids will always be kids no matter how much they want to and try to be grown up.

i've been having some pretty random bouts of random thoughts recently! one day i decided i was going to shave my arms. the next, i painted my toenails purple. the next week i decided i was going to go on a mission this summer. then yesterday decided i was staying in logan this summer rather than moving back to salt lake. . . don't know what's gotten into me recently.

fyi i didn't really shave my arms and i'm not going on a mission - yet ;) - and i'm not staying in logan this summer either. like i said, spontaneity is my our name.

i'm too much of a homebody to be away from them any longer!

21 in 7 days. wooooot.

for quite some time now i've been really excited for ballroom to be over... but now that it is i'm a little sad! who will i dance with now?!

i love it when random people you haven't thought about in a while suddenly pop back into your life. seriously, makes me smile. a lot.

i've been writing lol a lot lately and i don't appreciate myself for it. no bueno. guess it's better than actually saying it - "lolololol" LOL jen. bahhh

i was SO close to texting mrg yesterday but resisted. (really big news for me, actually. this marks the beginning of an end, and it makes me excited, or rather relieved)

i absolutely adore it when boys open doors for me! call me old fashioned, but on campus when a random stranger opens the door and smiles, especially when he sees you coming and stands there to wait for ya - melts my little heart!
